We’re always looking at how we can enhance your user experience, and today we’re pleased to announce the introduction of Unique URLs for product variants in stores.
Up until now, all product variations were accessed through a single URL making it harder to promote a specific variation of a product. Well, that’s changed. Now, each product variant will have its own unique URL, specific to its combination.
This new development can be found under the query params variant=. Should the URL not contain a variant, or if the variant is somehow invalid, our system will automatically select and display the lowest-priced variant.
This means that when customers access the unique URL for a specific product variant, that combination will be automatically selected and displayed for them.
This improvement enhances your ability to promote and drive attention to specific product variations through various platforms (social media, email marketing, etc.) by generating direct links to these variants in your store. This results in a better shopping experience for your customers, leading to increased conversions and ultimately, sales.
