Exciting Update – Taxes and Discounts on Point of Sale Unveiled!

We are excited to bring you our latest enhancement to mobile payments – the ability to add taxes and discounts directly to a point-of-sale (POS) transaction. With this new feature, users can link tax details to products and the attached tax will be applied automatically at checkout when the product is added to the cart using the Product Catalog. In addition, you also now have the option of applying a custom percentage discount to the total amount on the checkout screen. This feature is available on our Leads 365 and Leadconnector apps, and on Whitelabelled apps upon update request.

What's New:

• Tax Addition: Simplified tax handling. Now you can link your created taxes to products. The linked taxes will be automatically applied at checkout, eliminating manual input.
• Adding Discount: Give your customers additional incentives by providing discounts on final transaction amounts.

Before Getting Started:

To attach taxes to a product, navigate to the payment section on Leads 365, then select settings. From here, you will have the ability to create new taxes. Any taxes you create will then be accessible inside the Product builder feature of the mobile app.

How It Works:

• Open your Leads 365 or Leadconnector mobile app and select your account.
• Navigate to the "Products" section located in the top left menu.
• Create or edit a product (make sure you have already created taxes through the Leads 365 site).
• In the first step, you'll see a dropdown to link taxes.
• Click on the dropdown to reveal all the taxes you've created, then attach the ones you want to the product.
• Save the changes to your product. Every time you add this product to the checkout page, associated taxes will automatically be applied.
• Decide to add a discount? A unique discount button will appear at the bottom of the checkout page.
• Click on the button to open the discount slider, which you can adjust to the percentage amount you want to apply.

Why it Matters:

This update empowers admins and users with the convenience of adding taxes to transactions. This process streamlining importantly eases the checkout process for your customers.

What's Next:

• Location-Based Taxes: Select from a list of taxes based on your location to avoid creating your own tax table.
• Discount Coupon Codes: Create and distribute your own coupon codes to your customers. These coupon codes can be applied at checkout for an immediate discount.
